Our History
In August 1962 David Woolgar, an experienced electrician, started D.A. Woolgar in Maulden, Bedfordshire. Four years later, in November 1966, he was granted the status of "Approved Contractor" by the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and the company went from strength to strength.
The company won its first Local Authority contract with Ampthill Rural District Council in 1967 and Ampthill Urban District Council in 1969. This relationship has continued to see the formation of Mid Beds District Council and the development of the Mid Beds Housing Association until the present day, taking M.D.H.A into the new millennium.
A New Era...
David Woolgar retired in 2001 having successfully run the business for 39 years; Andrew Woolgar then took on the leadership role..
Throughout its history Woolgar has grown steadily by embracing change, and more recently techonology, whilst providing a professional, flexible service to our long-standing customers (which is why we continue to work for the children and grandchildren of some of our original customers!)
We also strongly advocate traning and development and have a robust apprentice scheme as well as a continual programme of training and development - hence our staff have gained qualifications and valuable experience in the following:

We work in both the domestic and commercial sectors across the Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford areas as well as offering specialist DEVI underfloor heating repair services to the domestic market across the South of England.
