Woolgar Electrical has over 55 years experience delivering a range of electrical services across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 
What areas does Woolgar Electrical cover? 
We are flexible and cover mainly Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. However for our more specialist services like Historic or Listed Building servicing or Under floor Heating installations or repairs we do regularly travel further afield. 
What is the charge for an electrician to come out? 
We generally have our standard charge which is £49.00 per hour excluding VAT. We don’t charge a call out fee for weekday 9 – 5 emergencies. 
Will an electrician come out at night or on the weekends? 
We provide 24/7 call-out cover (even Christmas day), the minimum fee for a call-out is £98.50, for first hour including travel (all prices are excluding VAT). 
What guarantees do you offer? 
Our Guarantee of Work is Part P and Trustmark compliant. We warranty all parts and labour we provide (T&C’s apply). Our guarantee is Ensuring Installation Safety and Customer Satisfaction is an insurance-backed Warranty. All work is undertaken by qualified people to high standards of quality and safety and to terms which are equitable to the customer and installer. 
 
We are inspected and assessed to ensure that we operate sound business practices and adhere to these standards with relevant national standards, industry’s current standards, regulations and codes of practice. 
 
We adhere to the Code of Fair Trading, registered with the Office of Fair Trading, sets out comprehensive trading arrangements, which are fair to the customer. Copies of the Code are available on request.

What are your prices? 
We believe are prices are reasonable and provide excellent value for money reflecting the quality of our services.  
 
Our Head Office team will discuss your particular requirements and will advise on pricing. We are happy to provide estimates or quotations free of charge (with the exception of fault finding jobs). 
Is Woolgar Electrical accredited and insured? 
We hold liability insurance to the standards required by local councils, housing associations and English Heritage where we work on irreplaceable buildings filled with irreplaceable people. 
 
We are fully insured and accredited by the NIC EIC, ECA, Trustmark and JTL. 
In addition we are approved by the Beds County Council Trading Standards agency. 
Do you offer free estimates/quotations? 
Yes in most circumstances we provide free estimates or quotations. This may be provided verbally when you call us, and then in writing and we may have to visit your premises depending on the type of work required. Depending on the location of your premises and the type of job to be done a charge may apply - if this is the case then you will be notified by when you contact us. 
 
We receive many calls requesting an estimate for fault finding jobs. We are unable to provide a fixed cost for fault finding work due to the work required to investigate the fault. We may suggest that we attend for a short period of time to investigate your fault which will be chargeable and once the agreed time limit is up we will update the client with our findings. We will endeavour to repair the fault within the agreed time limit. We find this is the fairest approach for fault finding work. 
Are Woolgar Electrical NICEIC / ECA Approved Contractors? 
Yes we are this means we have undergone careful checks and reviews of all aspects of our business operations. Not only technical competence is assessed, but also administrative procedures and capabilities. Resources and training systems are also examined for adequacy. 
Can I give feedback on your service? 
We actively seek client feedback. If we have recently carried out work for you, we would be grateful for any feedback on the service we provided. You can give us feedback by calling us or via email.
